~About the Photographer~

      Ed Newell is a Winchester, KY based landscape photographer with a passion for capturing the natural beauty of Kentucky. Upon exploring different genres of photography, it soon became apparent to Ed that his personal satisfaction came in capturing Kentucky landscape scenes. Having a great love of the outdoors, he tries to connect with the environment in order to express his feelings for nature and the beauty that surrounds us. 

      His inspirations come from within and by the way his surroundings make him feel when outdoors. His main goal is to create his own unique image of a scene through photography. Capturing the phenomenal natural beauty around us takes time and care. Ed hopes that his photographs will convey a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of Kentucky. 

      Being in an outdoor environment he feels at ease to try and express his feelings for nature through his work.  Ed is, also, a juried exhibiting member of the ~Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen~. Kentucky's oldest statewide visual art and craft organization.  His work can be purchased through several art galleries, various art shows throughout the summer months or this web site.
